Most House Alarm Security Panels in Ireland have one of these back up Alarm Panel batteries installed in them. They keep your alarm panel working for up to 24 hours in case of a power failure or if somebody cuts the mains power from outside.

These Alarm Panel batteries need to be changed every 3-5 years in order to ensure they do not burn out.

How do you know if your Alarm Panel battery needs to be changed?…….

When the power goes in your neighbourhood most likely you will hear some of your neighbours alarms ringing. This is because their back up alarm panel battery needs to be replaced. Your back up alarm panel battery should power your alarm system for up to 24 hours without power. If it does not and if its older than 5 years old then most likely it needs to be replaced.

This is a sinple thing to do but while we are there we will service the rest of your alarm system to make sure everything is working.
