What is a gas detection system?

A Gas detection system is a device that can automatically shut off the gas supply if one of its detectors smells gas.

Where should they be used?

Anywhere on a commercial premises where Natural Gas/LPG gas is being used example in a boiler house in a school near a gas burner, near a commercial oven in a bakery, in a plant room where gas boilers are being used. Basically anywhere Natural Gas/ LPG Gas is being used.

What happens when gas is detected?

When Gas is detected by one of our sensors our control panel will let you know by an audible alarm. When a hi alarm is activated the Automatic Gas Slam Valve will cut off the Gas supply. When the problem has been fixed you can then press the reset on the control panel and the gas valve will open.

This is a safety device that should be installed where Natural Gas/ LPG Gas is installed.

Fire Officers are demanding that more and more premises install these safety devices. We can also connect them up to your Fire Alarm so that when your fire alarm activates the Gas Slam valve will automatically shut off the Gas.
